One of the centres of region Broumov and starting point for trips to Broumov rock-town. The original name were the Teplice nad Lehují, according to the small stream in town. The river Metuje flows about 2 km far. The area was settled already by Slavonic clans. In 13rd century the Benedict monks buit here the hermitage and later laso the wooden chapel. The undisturbed progress was break by Hussite wars. In the town you can see several examples of Baroque houses with stony portals. The most important architectonical monument is the complex of monastery with church of the Virgin Ascension from the 13rd century.
